How To Get Rid Of Flu And Its Symptoms
The flu is a contagious common illness caused by influenza viruses. It can be very affecting and have many negative side effects. Here are some helpful ways to get rid of the flu and its symptoms.
1- Sore Throat
Gargling salt water is one of the most effective ways to soothe a sore throat. Mix half a tablespoon of salt with 1 cup of warm water and gargle mixture about 3 times a day. The salt water mixture will loosen mucus and reduce swelling, it will also wash out any bacteria in the way of a nice clear throat
2- Runny Nose
A runny nose is one of the most common symptoms of the flu and there are many ways to relieve it. Saline nasal sprays are the best possible way to get rid of runny and stuffy noses. As the saline solution loosens mucous membranes inside the nose it makes it easier to breathe. Another way to get rid of stuffy noses is to spray some salt water into your nostrils and sniff in. It will make it easier to breathe and you will feel free as many say.
3- The cough
The most annoying symptom is definitely the cough. The best way to relieve this quickly is cough drops. Cough drops have an ingredient called menthol which creates a cooling sensation in your throat. Honey tea is also a very good reliever, all you have to do is simply mix two tablespoons of honey with warm herbal tea and let it do its magic! You can also try to drink lots of fluids as that tends to help a lot.
4- Constant sweating and chills
Constant sweating and chills happen often when you have a fever or the flu. As you feel yourself sweating you take the covers off and then you feel cold, so what should you do? Well, there are a few things you can consider that will reduce/ stop the sweating, take a nice,relaxing lukewarm shower. Taking a lukewarm shower will calm your body and wash off excess sweat. Also try covering yourself in a thin sheet which will cause your body to sweat less. When you are experiencing these symptoms make sure you drink a lot of fluids like orange juice and water.
After a long time of sitting down you finally get up and feel a weird feeling where your head feels heavy, your eyes feel dizzy and you just feel light. That feeling there is dizziness. There are many causes of dizziness whether it’s dehydration, low iron deficiency or simply migraines. When you are experiencing dizziness the best possible thing to do is drink lots and lots of water. You can also drink warm herbal tea which will relax your muscles. As you grow older, your body needs more iron which comes from grains and meat. The less iron the more dizziness you will feel. The moment you feel dizzy lie down on your back with your eyes closed for a few minutes, then get up and you will feel better.
